How does it work?

I offer a separate sharpening service for high-end beauty shears. This includes convex edge shears, thinning and chunking shears, and semi-convex shears. I prefer to come to you and sharpen on site. Please reach out to me directly to set something up

 

How much does sharpening cost?

Sharpening these shears is much more involved than sharpening knives, and also includes cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, and any needed repairs. Rather than being priced per inch, the price is by piece.

Convex beauty shears and thinning shears are $40 per piece. The first order is $30 per piece to make sure you like the system and results. Semi-convex shears are $20 per piece.​

 

What equipment do you use? 

I use a Wolff Hira-to flat hone shear sharpening system.
